About us
32 years ago, Richard Wiederhold started a geyser valve maintenance business in Johannesburg. Through the knowledge and experience gained in manufacturing, Richard discovered that technical polymers are as good as brass but cost way less, and that engineering plastics is the way forward. The business evolved into Advanced Valves, which is now the largest geyser ancillary product manufacturing business in South Africa, a proud platinum member of IOPSA, and a “Proudly South African” member.
In 2023, Advanced Valves was voted IOPSA’s Manufacturer of the Year by members of the plumbing industry.

Advanced Valves now has 122 employees assembling over 3 million components a month, to produce
103 000 completed products for the South African market. With growth in market share year on year, Advanced Valves continues to make giant advances in producing the most affordable, highest quality products available in South Africa.
Our Pressure Control Valve is SABS approved and the PCV body is moulded in WRAS approved Nylon PA 66 polymer. Each unit is tested and calibrated to ensure individual quality control with a two-year guarantee. There is no better value for money pressure control geyser valve on the market. Our product range is designed to withstand 6 000 kPa water pressure & 150 degrees Celsius temperature.
Our vacuum breakers are patented, SABS approved and unique in that they are double sealed locked and loaded.
Advanced Valve products: Vacuum Breakers (AD-VB 15mm, 22mm), Pressure Control Valves (HYPAflo 400 and HYPAflo 600), Safety Valves (AD-TP), Drain Cocks (AD-DC) and all have permit to apply the SABS mark.
